Majao is a conceptual brand and ecommerce experience that celebrates Dominican culture through artisan spreads, connecting each product to the farmers, regions, and artists behind it.

Context

The name Majao, short for majado, means “mashed” in Dominican slang and reflects the brand’s emphasis on freshness and a handmade approach. Each product is crafted to feel as close to the raw produce as possible, with flavors inspired by traditional Dominican cuisine and desserts.

The digital platform is designed to elevate Majao as a premium Dominican brand, showcasing locally made products through an engaging shopping experience that teaches shoppers about native agriculture, art, and culture.

The brand is centered around ecommerce as its primary point of sale, with opportunities to expand into curated retail spaces such as gift shops, Latin boutiques, wholesale partnerships, and events celebrating the Dominican Republic.
